Money Notebook
A personal Android app that keeps a private notebook of where money goes, built from bank messages, bank emails and statements.
What it does
- Notes payments by itself. It reads bank and card alerts from text messages and, if you connect Gmail, from bank emails.
- Reads statements. From bank and credit-card statement PDFs it picks up the summary: statement date, balance, amount due, due date and credit limit.
- Keeps a khata. A simple ledger of money lent to and received from friends and family.
- Shows the big picture. Spending, income and balances month by month, with amounts hidden until you tap to see them.
Private by design
- Your records stay on your phone and your own computer. Money Notebook has no servers.
- Gmail access is read-only, and the app looks only at emails from banks and card companies.
- No ads, no analytics, and no selling or sharing of data.
Who it's for
Money Notebook is a personal project, made for and used by its developer. It isn't listed on Google Play.
